A lightweight guide to the topic, written by GPT-4, an AI programme from OpenAI. Not to be taken too seriously, but an easy read.
A really useful book for non-technical people who want to understand just what the newest generation of AI can and can’t do.
Melanie Mitchell has the ability to present complex subjects simply and straightforwardly, without in any way “dumbing them down”. Of the guides to what AI is, this is my favourite.
An excellent review of the hidden risks inherent in allowing algorithms to guide our decision-making, if we do not fully appreciate the difference between machine learning and human values.
Published on 7th September 2023, this knowledgeable and controversial book from a prominent AI “insider” points out the risks from AI in the context of the global challenges which the current world order is failing to come to terms with.
