u3a Writing Circle 1

Each block on this page links to one of my ‘homework’ assignments from Shepway u3a Writing Circle 1.  Initially, my aim was to incorporate philosophical reflection into each creative piece, bat after a couple of months I became so entranced by the possibilities of fiction, that I changed focus, and concentrated on learning the craft of writing to the best of my ability.  The criteria for each piece are simple: write a piece suggested by the words set, and write a piece that can be read aloud in 4 minutes or so.
